About
Linearity is an artificial way of viewing the world. Real life isn't a series of interconnected events occurring one after another like beads strung on a necklace. Life is actually a series of encounters in which one event may change those that follow in a wholly unpredictable, even devastating way.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Francesco Campanile is currently licensed in Italy, his original country, and in Ontario, Canada, where he moved at the end of 2021.
After finishing high school, in 2002 Francesco attended the Gabriele D'Annunzio University in Chieti, Italy, where he obtained a bachelor's and a master's degree in psychology. During his master's, he also studied the Rorschach Test, attending a two-year-long course at the Scuola Romana Rorschach.
After graduating from his master's degree in psychology, Francesco completed several internships and passed the Italian National Examination for Psychologists. He obtained his license as a psychologist in 2013 with the Ordine degli Psicologi della Regione Campania.
At the conclusion of the same year, Francesco enrolled at the Harry Stack Sullivan Institute of Analytical Psychotherapy in Florence, Italy, where he finished his four-year training in Interpersonal Psychoanalytic-Oriented Psychotherapy.
Upon his graduation in 2018, Francesco was authorized to practice psychotherapy. Only psychologists or medical professionals who have completed a 4-year training program at a recognized school or institute of psychotherapy are permitted to provide psychotherapy services in Italy.
At the end of 2018, Francesco started working in private practice in Naples, Italy, and at the Serapide Rehabilitation Center for minors affected by learning disabilities, pervasive developmental disorders, and autistic disorders.
After almost 4 years of practice, at the end of December 2021, Francesco moved to Ottawa where, after six months, he obtained his first Canadian license: Registered Psychotherapis (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
In September 2022, he started his practice in Ottawa, where he today offers both in-person and online psychotherapy services. Following the establishment of his private practice and office, Francesco was granted admission as a Guest Member of the Ottawa Psychoanalytic Society for 2024–2025.
